Most plush toys are designed and made for kids. Based on the idea that these children will be in close contact with the toys and possibly even sleeping alongside them, the safety standards for our plush toys are treated in the same way as food standards. As a result, these seemingly simple toys have many details to be worked out.
We have been in the plush toys business for more than 20 years and has in-depth knowledge of the production process and quality control for producing safe and fun plush toys. We perform quality control measures during every process to make sure our customers are shipped the safest products.
Problem: let’s face it, kids under 3 years old like to put things in their mouth. If toys contains dyes with heavy metals or other contaminants, children could be ingesting toxins that may affect their health.
Solution: the test for colorfastness and concentration of heavy metal is done by third party testing organizations.
Problem: kids are often rough when it comes to handling their toys. On this condition, a toy which fails to meet the 70 N pull force standard can rip open and the filling cotton can potentially be eaten or inhaled by kids, which can be dangerous.v
Solution: during sewing testing, we will make sure all of the outer fabrics of our toys meet the 70 N pull force standard.
Problem: it is not uncommon for debris from machines to mix with the filling cotton or sewing needles to be left in plush toys. This poses a serious safety hazard.
Solution: We utilize an industrial needle detector machine originally designed for food, SAFELINE. This equipment is able to detect any tiny metal to make sure the plush toys are metal-free and cannot hurt children.
Problem: some manufacturers use plastic eyes and noses containing azo dyes in order to cut costs. Once azo enters the human body through the mouth, it can result in negative impacts on the mental and sexual development of children.
Solution: WILDREAM uses safe and azo-free materials to make the plastic eyes and noses of our stuffed toys. Furthermore, all eyes and noses will go through a strict azo detection test performed by a third party authority.
Problem: the filling cotton can be a cozy bed for bacteria if it fails to meet sanitary standards. While a lot of kids love to put the toys on bed or hold the toys in their arms when they are sleeping, the bacteria can enter their body through direct contact or respiratory system and cause harm.
Solution: WILDREAM uses smooth PP cotton and has a strict regulation on the sanitation condition in workshops and a set of standard operating procedures.
